Week 2 Reflection
After two incredible weeks in Pingtung, our mission trip has come to an end, and we're beginning our journey back home.
On Friday, we wrapped up the week with our final performance and dinner for the kids and their families. It was such a joyful celebration! The kids did an amazing job singing the worship songs and speaking English with so much confidence. After the performance, we had the opportunity to share a meal with the families before saying our goodbyes.
Goodbyes are never easy, but this one was especially difficult knowing that not only were we saying goodbye to the kids, but our time in Taiwan was also coming to an end. We are so grateful for the members of Pingtung Bilingual Church, who have served us so faithfully and generously throughout these two weeks. They welcomed us with open arms and made us feel so loved. Their kindness and servant-hearted love have been such a beautiful example of Christ's love in action.
We're also incredibly thankful for the ways God has been moving in the lives of these children. It has been so encouraging to witness the impact that even one week of learning about Jesus can have. Watching the kids joyfully sing and dance during worship, eagerly memorize Scripture, and grow in their understanding of God's love has been such a privilege. We pray that the seeds planted this week will continue to grow and bear fruit for years to come.
We'll be spending the next couple of days in Taoyuan before flying back to Minnesota on Monday. Please pray for safe travels, smooth flights, and for our team as we adjust back to life at home. Please also continue praying for the children who attended camp—that they would keep growing in their faith, continue learning about Jesus, and become connected to a local church. Pray that God would draw each of them closer to Himself, no matter what they may be facing.
Thank you so much for following along with our journey and for covering us in prayer these past two weeks. We are so grateful for your support and can't wait to see you all soon!
